Anyone else feeling the damn anxiety waiting for email responses to secondaries? I wake up every morning around 8 o clock and I cant help myself but to keep checking every damn half hour! I hate it!!!

I would try and chill out a bit...if the application cycle taught me anything it was how to wait patiently...

that's why i love my blackberry, instant email notifications without having to be near a computer. although every time i get a random email my heart skips a beat thinking it's from a school.

You are not alone my friend. I check it constantly! I need to learn to be patient.

I would just keep my mind off it by doing something more meaningful to life, whatever that may be. You could possibly volunteer in something you never thought you would do just to get the "unexpected" experience. Or, you can pick up a class that could possibly benefit you in med school, such as hair cutting/styling. You can make a generous amount in just a few hours and you are in charge of the prices. Not to mention, you don't have to go off campus.

But, most of all, promise yourself not to look at your email except once a week, you may go INSANE!!!😉

Or, just don't go on the computer, smash it, lock it up, whatever.

Or maybe check it no more than once a day may be reasonable. I'm having a lot of trouble finding clinical volunteering this summer. Damn coordinators are on vacation and all the unemployed people are using up the volunteer spots. 😡
