Early vs. Later Application

I was hoping to get my application turned in as soon as possible once PTCAS is open because I have heard it helps a lot in the long run. However, I am taking my last pre-req this summer and I won't have the grade on my transcript until mid August.

Which is the better option? A) Turning the app in early with a pre-req in progress and waiting for the academic update in December or B) Waiting until mid August when my pre-req is completed and on my transcript

It depends how much earlier. They are both good options. Mid august is still fairly early and the process time for PTCAS to review the transcripts and have it sent out to schools is pretty fast. I would think they would be sending your apps to your school of choice.. early - mid september. I had two-three outstanding courses before applying to PT schools and it did not hinder my application.

My opinion: Earlier the better
