EC Listing question

I see a lot of MDApps saying # of semesters of deans/chancellor's/president's list - which are all based on grade which is conveyed by the GPA.

So, is it okay to list Dean's lists on EC since it is an "Honor" and honors/awards received are allowed to be listed?

Also, do most people do it? (which is different than you CAN or CANNOT do it.)

yes you can list GPA-based awards on your app. i know what you mean: presumably you worked hard for the GPA itself, which is clearly listed, and the award that resulted was no extra effort, so it's not really a big deal.

but personally, yes, i had one entry for honors/awards, and i listed all the award/honors i received, which included GPA-based awards, as well as other scholarships/grants.

there were no honors courses at my college, so i don't have any experience dealing with them. it should already show up on your transcript though, and i would think that's enough. i personally don't think it merits its own entry, but group it with the others if you wish to include it. your call.

its a degree honors. It'll show up on the transcripts but adcoms don't see the transcripts, right? correct me if i'm wrong, they see what AMCAS conversion GPAs are..

I guess it'd be best if I just add to the same entry as the other GPA related things.
