Over last three years (7 Semesters) I have been involved in Research lab at 20 hours per week.
Dont have the exact recording of number of hours. some weeks I had worked lot more than 20 and some of them less than 20. Can we average the number of hours to 20 and at 14 weeks per semester and for 7 semesters it turns out to be 7*14*20 = 1960. In fact I had paid scholarship of 20 hours per week working.
Similarly I was involved in cultural exchange board for 6 semesters. We have meetings every week and budgetary discussions once every semester and once a semester we have retreats where we discuss on the events to be organized in the university. On an average about 5 hours per week participation.
6*14*5 = 420 hours.
Can we use these hours in our Med school application.
Was a poetry editor for school for a year. We had meetings every week for the same.
2 * 14* 2 = 56 Hours.
During my earlier part of undergraduation (1 year was done in India). Had about 200 hours of clinical volunteering. And 300 more here as part of paid program in hospital.
Shadowing about 50 hours.
How much accurate these numbers have to be. Do Med schools verify these numbers.
