Hi,

I have a friend who wants to take the ecg exam. What book do you recommend he study?

What ECG exam? If he is taking a specific exam or class, is a book not recommended? In addition, are we talking about basic rhythm strips or appreciating bifascicular blocks, infarcts, drug effects and so on by analysing XII leads?

Many professionals recommend Rapid Interpretation of EKGs by Dale Dubin, but I find this book to be incredibly dull. The Only EKG Book You'll Ever Need is comprehensive and better organized book IMO. We also used Understanding EKGs: A Practical Approach to teach a rhythm recognition class, which is a good beginner book.

Like the others said, what level is he looking at? A good basic book that I used in Paramedic school is Basic Arrhythmias by Gail Walraven.
