economics major

so i am graduating with an economics major and hopefully going to med school next year. Originally i had no intention of using my economics knowledge in college. But I slowly started to realize that I really liked economics but still I wanted to go to med school
my question is what could i do in the future that combines both my MD knowledge and my economics knowledge? obviously it looks good later on when applying for more administrative jobs like Chief of medicine but what do you guys think.
