How does one go about verifying to a school that they actually particapated in the EC's that they say they have? I could say i voluntered at a counseling center and how would i prove that or would a school be sure if one did?

They could ask for your supervisor's contact info. Most likely, you won't get caught, but if you are, they will tell AMCAS, who will tell every school that you apply to, every time you reapply. So consequences are big.

Kind of like mail theft. It's easy to steal mail, but the penalties are really big. Big penalties are supposed to be a deterant.

Some people last year did have their EC's verified with calls to their contact numbers. I did not have numbers for some of my EC's and no one ever questioned me about it. It probably depends on the school. Whatever slight advantage you might get from listing an imaginary EC is definitely not worth the risk!!

damn! I must be missing something on my application b/c i don't remember seeing "contact phone number" on AMCAS. All they ask for is contact name and title and organization. That's it.

there's no section for phone number in the ECs for 2003.

Hey!

Should I use one of my experience descriptions for an award I recieved? If so, what should I put down for the hours per week?

Thanks!!!
