ECU Supplemental

Does anyone know how long to make ECU Essays? I got an email last tuesday saying that my supplemental has to be in within 10 days of the email, but the instructions say maximum of 32,000 characters per essay?! That is basically saying there is no maximum but is half a page too little per essay?

I got the same email. Sounds like a lot of writing for ten days...Just out of curiosity, did you apply last year? I was on the wait list for last year and got a little excited that they wanted it filled out within 10 days. I have never heard of only have 10 days to complete the supplemental app.

To answer your question though, I agree that a paragraph for each is a little short. But the questions I thought were a little different that typical essay questions. I will certainly try to do more than a paragraph...but we will see..

Mine, so far, are about half a page to a page single-spaced. I feel like I shouldn't write more than really answers the question because I think that the admissions committee would rather read a shorter, to the point essay rather than a three pager with a ton of fluff.

And I am a first-time applicant 🙂

If you were an Adcom, would you want to read 4 questions at 2,3, or 4 pages each? Keep it short and to the point.

Mine were each about half a page to a page.

Did anyone experience problems submitting their supplemental app?

I went through all the steps to submit and pay. The payment went through, but no confirmation page or email. I can even still log on and edit my app. When I contacted Adcom, they said to send them my login and pin and that they'd let me know what to do next. Just curious if anyone else was experiencing something similar.
