EDP --> Regular Decision?

So I'm pretty sure I'm not getting an acceptance to the EDP I applied to, seeing as how I haven't been offered an interview....

So I want to get my reg decision schools out ASAP. Can I drop out of EDP before Oct1? Do I have to wait for the actual letter to arrive (sometime AFTER Oct1)? I mean, I know what the decision is going be! 🙁 According to the AMCAS site:

How do I designate additional schools once I've been released from my EDP agreement?
Should you receive either a rejection or a formal release from the EDP commitment from the EDP-participating medical school that you have designated, follow these instructions to designate additional schools:


After entering your username and password, enter the Designate Medical Schools section of your AMCAS application;
Choose the Edit option for the school you have designated as your EDP designation;
Change your selection of the type of program to which you are applying from Early Decision to Regular, then click Next;
Designate additional school(s) per instructions provided on the screen and in Help;
Enter the Change Notification Process section of your application, then click Submit on page one of this section;
Select the applicable EDP release option from the provided selections, then certify the EDP release statement and click Accept;
Re-certify and resubmit your application.

I was also deferred presecondary. Basically, I kept calling them throughout August and was like "Where's my secondary?" Finally, they just told me that I was deferred over the phone and they released me right then and there. I got an official letter a few days later, but I applied to more schools the same day that they told me over the phone. I can't believe that they haven't told you yet. It's October tomorrow for God's sake. I think that I read somewhere in AMCAS that if you don't hear anything by Oct. 1, then you are free to apply to more schools. If you don't want to call the school, maybe you could call AMCAS.
