As you can see on my status "Pre-pharmacy", but I just decided to go for Med school. I was just wondering if being a pharmacy technician in a hospital will count towards clinical experience? Lets just say that I'll shadow some docs too. And can someone give me an advice on how to make my EC's astounding?

Yeah.. that will count. I was a pharmacy tech in undergrad. Get some direct patient care though... like volunteering on a floor or something.

:luck:

Codeblu,

If you were given a chance to go abroad just to make your EC remarkable, what would you do?

I wouldn't do it. Community commitment is much more important. Sure, you have money? You spend it to go abroad. That's nice. You're there for what? 2 weeks? A month? I wouldn't do it.

6 months to a year? Roughing it for real? I would do it.

Find a good volunteer gig in your locale. Stick with it. Make connections. Profit. Get into med school.
