Who else is holding their breath for Einstein? Just about 2 more weeks until we find out! I still wonder if they'll send the letters on the 13th or the 17th, but I don't have the guts to call and ask 😛 (especially since it's such a neurotic question). I'm trying to convince myself that I won't get in so that I'll be prepared for anything. I interviewed on their very first interview day, so I've been waiting a while!

tigress, I"m eager too!!! They send out acceptance letters on my birthday!!!
They're my first choice. I interviewed super super early in the season too so it's been a really long wait. Hehe, maybe they'll notice its my birthday and feel nice? jk. When everyone waiting on this thread gets in, we'll all have to go to lunch 🙂

Tigress, I am sooooo with you. I interviewed on Oct 12th!! It was my first one, and I was shocked b/c my gpa is great, but my MCAT is average. I was also with all the gunners who had gone on like 6 or 7 interviews at that point...boo. So, yes I am anxious to hear!!!

i have an interview with them in january, after the first decisions roll out. will they send out another batch in march, so i'm going to have to wait another 2 months to know? or after the first wave, it's an ongoing process? anyone know?

After January 15th they have rolling admissions. So you hopefully won't have to wait too long to find out!!

I've almost decided that if I get into Einstein I will attend there, but I will ask to defer for a year. I'm not completely sure, but I think that's the plan. I think I'll be okay whether I get in or not, but I'm really hoping to get in!! Somehow the past months of waiting were much easier than now, when I know I only have a few weeks!

I think I was there with you that day ... I'm pretty sure my Einstein interview was on 10/12. Best of luck to you and everyone else in here!

Last year they postmarked it on the 15th, which was a Saturday. I thought it was odd too, but I think they take the date pretty literally and won't send it until the sixteenth most likely. It's worth the wait though.

Im waiting too...its been almost 3 months for me (interviewed on 10/21). Einstein was my first interview and is my first choice so far. Im getting anxious thinking about it now.

hah, this kept coming up last night and today when we were talking with friends. They kept asking if I know where I'm going to med school, and I kept saying, "well, I'll hear from Einstein in two weeks and then I'll make a decision."

Einstein is non rolling up until January when they send out first decisions. So everyone who has interviewed up till then hears back and they fill up the bulk of the class. But then more interviews happen and there are more spots that need filled, and then its on a rolling process. or a more rolling process. So theres probably still plenty of a chance if you're interviewing late or still hoping to hear back. i noticed most people were invited for interviews about a month after being completed, if you're waiting on hearing back.

Yea me too, I had to leave because something came up during the tour. I asked the tour guide and they said I can come back and go on another tour during one of their interviewing days. I haven't gone back yet, I wanna find out if I got in first. If i go visit again and absolutely love it, then the rejection would hurt twice as much.

ack, so now i'm going to have stress starting now instead of the 17th. But wait, why would they have lied to me over the phone? Are you an adcom, therefore you know? otherwise, if you're a pre-med like those of us waiting someone could have given you wrong information, it's possible.

So, since today is my birthday and getting a "yes" would be the best present ever , are you SURE they sent 'em out? :-D

They don't send emails, just letters.

I do know that in previous years they have sent letters just prior to the 15th. So I wouldn't be surprised if they did send out a batch. But it is funny that they said the 17th over the phone. Oh well, we'll hear within a week or so either way! And I'm out of town for a family wedding until Monday night, so even if I were to miraculously get a letter tomorrow I wouldn't know it 😛

Unfortunately I live in katrina/rita affected south louisiana so most of my mail is post-dated at least 10 days before I receive it so even if I happen to be in the first group, I dont expect to get a letter for a while now.
