what are your thoughts on these two schools? the pros/cons of each?

if you're a current student, what do you like/dislike about your school?

THANKS!

Einstein

Likes
1. Super cheap housing (about $300-500/month)
2. Very family friendly
3. Free gym on campus
4. Underserved population loves having students as their doctors
5. Great place for the socially conscious
6. Nice facilities (lecture halls, study rooms, labs, etc.)
7. Student-run free clinic
8. Very close to Manhattan/suburbs
9. Lots of autonomy on the wards

Dislikes
1. It's in the Bronx (a fairly nice section, though)
2. Not enough formal career advising

Feel free to PM with specific questions.

Pick Einstein for sure. G-town is having some financial problems and it's reputation could drop because of that. Einstein allows you a lot of freedom during rotations and the people really like the med students caring for them. Plus, you can find really good, cheap housing here, which is pretty unique for the New York area. Trust me, G-town is overrated and with a name like Albert Einstein behind you, you can't lose 😉
