EK 1001- Most Recent Editions

I've looked through some old threads, but couldn't find any definite answer regarding this subject.

Do the newest editions of the EK 1001 series date back to the early 2000s (2001, 2002, ...)? Does 10 years not make them at all outdated?

What's the best way to purchase them? Official EK website or Amazon?

Yes they date back that far, they are outdated in certain senses-but still great practice in foundational knowledge. You still need a resource for passages IMHO.

Get them on amazon, like 18 bucks new.

What exactly do you mean by this? That EK 1001 serves as a resource for passages- or that, in your opinion, you need an additional resource for passages besides EK 1001?

EK 1001 and doesn't have passages (except for bio) its just questions. You'll see most people here refer to them as discretes and that means its just a question on its own. The reason they are still helpful is because it helps get the basics down so that when you get to a passage where you need to utilize a certain formula you won't need to waste precious time manipulating or coming up with a forumla.

I know someone who had a 7 in BS in his first attempt and do the whole EK 1001 bio and pull a 12 in his retake after just two months. The Bio might be good then.
