For those of you who have taken MCAT recently, how representative is EK 101 compared to the real thing?

if you dont mind could you post your EK scores vs. real?

thank you

(old threads on this are all too old🙂

Without posting numbers, I know it varies from person to person, but test 1, 7, 9, 10 were exactly what I got on the real thing... the first time

I would be interested to know how many questions per passage can one miss in EK 101 to average a 10. Like 1 per passage?

Looking at AAMC 11 VR Scaled score breakdown, if your score 73-78% correct = 10.

This is missing like 11 questions you can still land a 10. (Almost 2 per passage).

It was not always that curved. AAMC 3 was not as forgiving. I guess the VR's are getting harder.

I'm getting pretty nervous. On average, i have been missing 3 questions per passage. Sometimes, i totally bomb a passage, and miss 4 out of 6 total questions. Any advice? I am giving myself 7 mins per passage. Should I make it 7:30 or 8:00?

i usually give myself 8 minutes

and i also follow somebody else's advice to write down numbers 60 52 44 36 28 20 12 4, and number of a passage im supposed to be doing next to these numbers, so that i dont get stuck on one hard passage and than not have enough time for the rest

+ the last four minutes you can spend on the extra hard passage...

btw im terrible in verbal, but this makes it little better

for me it didn't match up at all. i averaged about a 9 on EK and got an 11 on the real thing. idk maybe the stars aligned on my test date. i felt EK has several questionable explanations for their answers and they frequently gave 2 answers that could easily serve as the correct one.

of my verbal prep, i preferred TPR verbal workbook over EK.
