Okay so my question isn't probably what you'd expect. I've glanced over several tips for mapping out verbal passages, focusing on main ideas, question types, yada yada. My question isn't about technique per se, but instead how to approach my studying for the verbal. I noticed EK verbal 101 was highly recommended so I went out and bought it to study along side TPRH verbal workbook and online material...

But how exactly to I begin practicing? Do I time myself at the very beggining, even though a majority of my answers are wrong under timed conditions, or do I instead take my time getting use to the format and structure for verbal and increase my accuracy. Also, I have a ton of verbal passages, about 150 total. How many should I do daily if I have 2 months left? Is 4 daily good?

I picked up EK101 and it is broken down into little tests. The EK method says you should ALWAYS practice verbal timed, so I plan on doing just that. But if you have stand alone passages I would at least go to a bookstore and see how practice verbal tests are set up (i.e. how many passages in a given time) and then just break up your passages like that.

At least that is what I would do.

Try starting with 8 minutes per passage and work your way towards 6 minutes. Also, take a look at some of the verbal help threads found in the MCAT Guide sticky:

great tips as always

you don't even need to explicitly work your way toward 6 minutes; with sufficient practice, it should come naturally. Or it did for me anyway.
