how do you calculate Ecell? In kaplan they say its Ered + Eox, but i always learned that Ecell = Ecat - Eanode. Is kaplan wrong, or am i confusing something?

if given E of reduction rxns only, you must subtract (because Eox = -Ered)
(if galvanic... subtract such that voltage is positive, [delta G = -nFE])

if given Ered and Eox, add 'em up
