I was just curious if anyone new anything about the ECS Certification in Physical Therapy. There are really very few ECS certified PT's in the U.S.( I haven't really looked for anything comparable outside the US), and there does not seem to be a whole lot of concrete information floating around out there on the interwebz to improve my knowledge in the subject area.

If anyone has any idea where to go to get some good info or if you have an opinion on the Certification itself please comment.

I took an electrophysiology course as an elective in my DPT program and loved it. Someday I too would like to become certified in this area as well. The other bonus is it is reimbursed rather handsomely.

It seems like there are relatively few physical therapists who perform these. When did this specialty emerge? I thought that this was a diagnostic tool used mainly by physiatrists. Any more background information on this as well as how and if it is reimbursed by private insurance is appreciated. Thanks
