Hello everyone, can anyone who splits their practice between emergency medicine and Critical care give me an example of their weekly or monthly schedule? I'm sorry if this comes across as personal, I just want to know how people split their time between the two. Thank you for any responses

I am interested in this topic as as well. Additionally, I wanted to know if it is possible to do a CCM/Pulm fellowship after EM or if CCM only fellowships are available for ER residents? Just trying to gauge what options are available to EM residents if they are interested in pursing a fellowship.
Thank you!

You can do CCM for sure, 2 years, both through ABIM and ABA. Unsure about pulm.

Pulm/CC is for IM trained folks only. EM people can do the straight CC tracks through IM/Anes/Surg.

We have a few CCM people in my EM group (academic center). One does 9 EM shifts/mo and a week of ICU every other month. Another does primarily EM, with a weekend a month of ICU. He may pick up a few weeks of ICU per year.
