For people who've gotten acceptance letters at Emory this year, how long after the listed dates did the letter take to arrive? Especially Georgia residents.

Also, for those who recieved acceptances, how many cycles of mailing dates did it generally take from the date of interview? thanks...

It actually came the day of (as listed on the sheet) and the first cycle after my interview.

But this is probably highly variable (im in NC right now, pretty close to GA)

The next acceptance date is January 20, but I'm losing my hope already...

For Georgia residents... I got my acceptance from Emory on Jan. 22. It was postmarked Jan. 21.
This was the first round after my interview.

Good luck!

congrat taleof50 on your acceptance! Is Emory high on your list?

Very high. I loved the school when I interviewed. I'm honored to have been accepted.

Anyone that interviewed or was accepted to Emory...

I vaguely remember Dr. Eley (the admissions director) saying that Emory may go to a pass/fail system next year. Did I just make that up or does anyone have more info on that?

Thanks!

I think Dr. Ely said that they were considering to switching it to pass and fail. But he also mentioned that every year the issue of changing the grade system to pass/fail comes up but they haven't changed it yet. I highly doubt it they will change it to pass/fail next year. In my opinion I don't think Emory will change to pass/fail in the near future.

Why do you think they won't change it in the near future? Just wonderin'

This was the impression I got from talking with Dr. Eley and other students. He talked about how the issue came up for several years and they have not had any reasons to change it. For me personally, the grading system doesn't matter that much so either way is ok with me.
