Ok so as I was reading the forums on my only day off in two weeks I began to think; "Do I have enough EC's?"

So I figured I would post my EC's and see what yall said.

Ok so here they are.

Volunteer tutor at local grade school for two years.

Volunteer lab assistant for a semister

Varsity baseball player for two years

A 3 hour research project on Victor Grignard and how to get Grignard reactions to work in the Murray State College ****ty chemistry lab.

Academic Excellence Award in Life Science

Academic Excellence Award in Physics.

Well what do you think. I am gonna shadow some during my upcomming junior year before I take the MCAT.

Anyway criticism is welcome.

What universtiy give outstanding student awards??? These are not EC's. Are you in High School?

No I am not in highschool!!!!

I have an associates degree in chemistry/physics. I don't know much about colleges giving awards, but if somebody is gonna give me an award I am damn sure gonna take it.

I've got a full ride to my local state university for the next two years to get a degree in biology.

I will start my junior year there in August.

I would say maybe a little bit sparse but not super horrible...If you can spin the lab asst job off as research that would be good, and vars baseball will look great for sure! You don't have a ton of clinical, like hospital or clinic volunteer type stuff is the only thing...If you have top notch stats it wont matter but if you are more borderline I'd start doing a couple more things.

That's funny though...I was super student of the month like 5 straight months in 5th grade 😀

I have no idea what you are getting at. 😕

Few Universities have the awards you listed except for graduates and graduation honors. The awards do remind me of the ones you get in grade school as well.

Outstanding Student in Physics ~ Sigma Pi Sigma Initiate or an Award named after someone or B.S. in Physics with Distinction/Honors.

You should definitely get some healthcare experience. It's almost an unspoken mandatory requirement.

Go volunteer at a local hospital for a year and that'll take care of it.

Good luck,
Johnny
