If you are a pharmacy student, you might be able to better evaluate me. Anyways, I would like to know if my stats are good enough for an interview. The major problem obviously seems to be the PCAT which I am still trying to improve upon. I have applied to a couple rolling schools so hopefully my stats will land me an interview. I really do not know how much the PCAT will hurt me but maybe someone here can give me an idea of where I stand.

Overall GPA: 3.75
Science GPA: 3.68
PCAT: 59 (85 in chem) (low scores in reading/verbal)
LORs: 3 from science professors (known me for about 2 years), 1 from a pharmacist
ECs: member of science club, volunteering in a hospital pharmacy
Prospective Graduate with a B.S. degree in Biochemistry (in the spring 09)

don't stress too much, you're stats are definitely good enough for interviews.

You might want to apply to cali schools and others that do not look at PCATS. If you've only taken the pcat once or 2x, try a third time... just try to improve - but if you can't, don't feel defeated bc pcats are just one part of your application. theres everything else to shine on. I had a lot of trouble on the pcat too, took it 3x and highest composite was around 70. I still managed to get a few interviews, some waitlist and acceptances. And my GPA was not as high as yours.

bottom line, try to improve but don't sweat it. i'm sure you'll get a few calls, make sure you apply to enough schools too (>4schools?)

I keep trying to do well on the PCAT but my scores do not seem to budge much in the reading and verbal. I was able to improve my verbal from 40 to 51 (not much) but my reading suffered more so the composite stayed about the same. Kaplan seems to work the best for me as a source of review. I will keep trying though since I probably do not have a choice if I want to get an interview. I applied to four schools. I can always add more in the following 2 weeks.

I think you'll get an interview. I wouldn't worry too much about the verbal and reading sections on the PCAT. I think you should take it again though and try to get at least 90's in chemistry, biology, and quantitative. Just my opinion...

By the way, I like your screen name.
