I know that we are supposed to be entering the course title exactly as it appears on the transcript. However, some of my course titles are really long and won't fit in the space provided. What should I do? Leave out everything after the colon?

For example, one of my courses is titled "Kill Assessment: An Investigation into Death, Genocide, and other forms of Violence". This is exactly how it appears on my transcript.

Do this. Type until you can't. I wouldn't suggest abbreviating anything. They made the fields too small. That's how it goes. If you've called AADSAS before, you may question the abilities of those on the other end.

This was happening to me as well, so I wrote on the AADSAS official facebook page and asked about it. This is their response directly copy and pasted:

"You may abbreviate words to make them fit on the application. Changing a course title from "British Literature until 1800" to "British Lit until 1800" is fine. What you want to make sure you aren't doing is calling that course simply "English" instead of "British Literature until 1800", just as an example."

Hope that helps a little bit! 🙂

Yep, I actually called about this to be sure. She said you could either do this or abbreviate, but doing the former is safer.
