Hey everyone, I am a veteran and I am currently filling out my AMCAS application. I am more specifically on the coursework section. I have a Joint Service Transcript (JST) and have uploaded it. My question is if I didn't use any of these credits as transfer credits at my undergraduate university, do I need to list the courses and list JST as a school attended? On the AMCAS instruction manual it states:

  • Military Experience should only be listed under coursework if a U.S. or Canadian institution has accepted the experience as transfer credit.

  • Experience from “Occupations Held” should not be listed unless a U.S. or Canadian institution has accepted the experience as transfer credit.
I just wanted to clarify with anyone that may have had this before and see what they did. I will probably end up calling AMCAS to ask them to just be sure. Thanks for the help.

You didn't use it as transfer credit. AMCAS says not to list it unless its transfer credit. So don't list it.

Am I missing something here?

On the JST, there are certain courses that includes the ACE credit recommendation. Just add these to your AMCAS.
For Marines, the MCIs that we complete are graded through a military university/institution with a P/F grade. Therefore, these are included in my AMCAS.
PM me if you have more questions.
