Hi guys,
I just heard about OT today and am interested in it. I love helping people and applying design concepts and/or using things to help people out. I am also so encouraging and motivating to others. Can anyone tell me more information about this job, or experience? Is it in demand? Does it pay well? (Sorry, I am at work and don't have time to browse the forums but I am so interested!)

Thank you!

I am currently an occupational therapy student so my knowledge is limited. Occupational therapy pay is not bad. There are those that are in the lower end and those that are in the higher end depending of state and area of service. There are obvious higher paying careers out there but you need to look at nature of profession, schooling, and what matches up with your passion. One of the great thing about occupational therapy is that is very diverse and one can potentially work with any individual. OT helps individuals return to a quality life- everyone can use that. It is "in demand" because baby boomers are getting older and in terms of children there are more and more emphasis in early intervention with the many diagnosis for condition which did not exist prior. Hope this is helpful.
