I looked in the old applicants threads for the last two years, but couldn't find the answer. My Step 2 score should be back on Sept 25th. Should I wait until I get that score to submit my app or just submit on the 15th? My app is complete otherwise, but I have a less than ideal score for Rads (226 on Step 1). Thanks for any input.

We were told to submit ASAP. You can release your step 2 AS SOON AS it is available, but you HAVE TO manually do so through MyERAS. Hope that helps.

I saw theres a release of transcript feature on MyEras. Should we already click Yes for that?

I'm in the same boat as the above poster, and wasn't sure how to go about pushing the CK score though later on.

When you prepare ERAS, you have to allow transcripts and Step scores to be released or no one will see step 1 and they won't interview you. But there is a second option that asks if you want to "auto-release" future step scores. If you have already received CK score then you have no option because you can't release step 1 and not CK. But if you haven't taken it yet or don't have your score yet, you can choose to authorize the release of future step scores at your discretion.

When and if you decide to release these scores, you just go back in ERAS and check a box and push submit again. Most programs set up a "continuous download" of your application. They usually don't print everything off until a few days before your interview so they should have it if you release before your interview. If you release after your interview, they will probably look at your app before they compile final rank list and see updated step score. So either way most places will see it, but you could always just email PC and tell them it's available if you want to make sure they see it.

Awesome, thank you!

Why should someone submit his application ASAP and not wait 2 weeks when everything is available Either way the program will not look at the application before mid-october maybe

I believe in a change from years prior, you must manually re-submit your USMLE transcript when new scores come in.

"Retransmit Instructions

To retransmit your USMLE transcript when new scores are available -
YOUR ACTION IS REQUIRED

Click on the Retransmit button to have your updated transcript sent to ALL programs that previously received it.

You can click on Retransmit only ONCE a day - this button will be disabled for 24 hours after you make your request. "

Interviews are already going out (most likely based on Step scores). So while some programs may not look, some are.
