How are evaluations (letters of recommendations) usually sent in if doing online application (eg. for AVMA common app)? Do we give the evaluator an addressed envelope or an email address? Or do we have to attach it to our application?

If its the later, then we would always see what's being written about us...

You put in your evaluator's contact info and the VMCAS contacts them with a questionnaire and how to submit their evaluation online. This way you don't see what is written about you and the questionnaire has the same questions for every applicant so they can compare how people rate them on things such as maturity, getting along with others, dedication to the profession etc...

Okay that makes sense, thanks so much! I'm glad I don't have to send in the letters of recommendations with applications, because deadline is approaching *(Sept 30) and I didnt want them to feel rushed. I only just asked one of evaluators 1 week ago :scared:

They still have to finish them by sometime close to the deadline, though...

(October 2, not Sept 30)

But it doesnt seem like any of the international schools use this method, many of them just ask for letters or don't require them at all.

Just remember if you applying to any Australia schools and they are not on VMCAS. Or even if they are on VMCAS Send them THEIR application. If you dont there is a chance your app may be shifted for next term. Im using VMCAS for Murdoch but still sending my app through australearn with my VMCAS Id number. I'd also send them all the stuff in your VMCAS to make it alot easier on them so that all they really need to see on the VMCAS application are your reccomendations if you are having a hard time locating those individuals. Uk schools seem to just want the VMCAS application and the transcripts.
