I was on the examcrackers site and they were saying most med schools require that you take the mcat atleast 1.5 or 2 years before you apply to med school.

Is that true?

hypothetically speaking: what if I took the mcat, made a 35(i wish) but that was 3 years ago and then decided to apply to medschool. Would I have to re take the mcat??

Check MSAR for specific schools, but generally there's a 3 year "statute of limitations" on your score.

most med schools have a requirement that your mcat not be older than 3 years.
so if you are in that category, then apply apply apply. why wait and have to retake that test?

I think they probably suggest taking it that early so that if you didn't do so well, you can still take it again without falling behind in your application.
