This is probably the best book out there for the verbal section, but it desperately needs to be updated since it is geared towards the old paper format of the exam. That said, are you guys/gals altering the length of the practice tests to be more consistent with the CBT format/length? Thanks.

i found the book helpful, but nothing beats the real thing (old AAMC tests).

i felt EC was a better mimic than PR or Kapdaddy.

that book really sucks, the passages are unrealistic and not especially representative of MCAT passages.

It improved my verbal well enough, but I can't vouge for it now that the MCAT is computer-based. I can't complain too much because I got in at my state school with a scholarship.

I like the book. It helped me improve into the double digit score range. At the time i took the test. It was teh best b/c

Kaplan: was to detail oriented in its questioning.

E/K: felt like the real thing. where you analyzed teh authors arguement and then based on the whole passage reasoned an answer for a question. Very few direct detail question.

Princeton: never tried them. E/K was enough.

Break it up by the # off passages on the current exam timed to the length of the section on this exam.
