I was looking to buy an examkrackers book from amazon, but noticed that all of them were published in 2007.

I know that 4 years can be a long time, I was wondering if other newer editions from TPR/Kaplan/TBR were better.

I used EK to study for the MCAT that I took on April 28. I felt like the books prepared me well as far as content is concerned. I guess we'll see for sure when I get my scores.

I can't speak for all the EK books but I used the bio text and felt like the content matched up just fine with what I saw on the AAMC practice tests and the real MCAT.

I think a lot of the companies that constantly come out with new editions are just doing it to make money, honestly. If there weren't changes in the AAMC topic outlines or any grievous errors in the last edition then I don't see why an update would be necessary.

I studied with only the seventh edition and it matched up very well. Two passages on my physical sciences section felt like they were right from the lecture book examples. They will treat you well.

What edition would EK 1001 questions from 2005 be? Would this version be outdated as well?
I'm trying to buy books right now and am worried that I might be buying useless material.
Thanks in advance

i think you are going to be alright...

I'm using the EK audio osmosis, which was created in 2002. Don't worry about the year it was published, just study the content, know the basics, and apply the basics to passages.
