I just want to let everyone on the forum know that the posting for the sale of examkrackers material is a scam. I send the seller "linCgirl" $180 for the material on Saturday and this morning I got a box of old textbooks, a GRE book and a novel, they sure didn't look like no MCAT material. Don't fall for this. This person who ripped me off is from Duke University, their last name is "Heidari" although he uses the false name Lin Craig to email people. The last name sounds like a persian last name, but I don't want to be judgemental. I'm persian so I know persian last names. How the hell can you trust a crook with your life and this fool is supposed to be a doctor one day? From the bottom of my heart, I wish he fails at anything he pursues. May you burn in hell for ripping off another premed.

Hey guys, I am appalled that you guys got scammed by a fellow would-be doctor. If you have no doubt that it IS this particular person, you should report it to Duke (campus police, dean of the person's department, etc). PLEASE DO NOT LET HIM/HER GET AWAY WITH THIS. We cannot be colleagues with this type of person in the future. What a con. I wish I could meet the person and tell them off for you.

Perhaps you should also try the US Postal Inspection Service, which does deal with mail fraud.

Maybe you guys should hurry up and report him. Hopefully it will prevent him from graduating. And if he already graduated, hopefully the incident will be known to the adcom. A little mean, but what goes around comes around.

hello folks,

thanks for your suggestions.. i think i will call my bank (i think it may be too late though) and the post office about this. i am also filing a complaint at paypal, which i think might also be futile, but at least there will be a record of complaint. i am doing the weird little protocols that paypal has for its complaints process so i am going to be writing them sometime next week. if there is anyone else who has been scammed by this person please contact me and i will include it in my complaint.

btw, i am not sure if this is really a duke student. s/he has a duke.edu email but i have heard that its possible to make email addresses that are fake even if the domain is legitimate looking. i think this is just someone posing as a duke student 🙁

Obviously the reason she puts the @duke.edu and phone number is because it doesn't exist. Notice how it says to use those only if the hotmail.com address doesn't reply? Scam. 😎
