I am really exited to start school again in the fall. I've been working in a lab over the summer (at school, away from friends) and I am getting extremely bored. I find myself actually anticipating schools starting (sept. 2 for me) and having something to dedicate my time towards.

Most of my friends (who are not pre-med or dedicated to academics) are not as exited, but they are also a little anxious to get back into school.

Just curious if everyone else is exited or if you are trying to exhaust the most out of the final days (and I am just crazy).

lol I never understand how people would want school to start. I'm trying to enjoy every bit of summer... and it's insane that there are people looking forward to the start of college :scared:

All my buddies are back home.. and I'm spending as much time with the gf as possible. Going clubbing. Hanging out late most nights. Summer's amazing man. I wish I could have another month of it. I have way more fun during summers than I do during the school year. I thought that was expected?

Then again, this is SDN, where people actually love studying for tests lol

I'm quite excited, if only to get away from my parents. I love them dearly but I haven't spent this much solid time around them for 3 years. Time for a break.

i've never been so excited for a semester in my life. this summer was aite, but I'm only taking one class and will be back to my normal school and so yeah, it'll be awesome

Are you taking english classes this fall?

I am quite excited too. Back to normal school is nice.

I am thrilled about going back to school. Nothing makes me happier than being in school. I guess I'm a nerd, but I really love studying and learning and being extremely busy. Plus, I'm transferring schools and moving to a different part of the country, so that makes it even more of an adventure.

I graduated from college this past May. There isn't anything wrong with liking college. Once you get out in the real world, you have a lot more responsibilities to attend too.

Enjoy college and do your best.

I work with the medical and science literature for 8 hours a day. Taking an exam is nothing compared to what I need to do every day at work. I'm learning A HELL of a lot more now than I did in college. I can read a whole issue of the Journal of Biological Chemistry in one day now.

what the hell is wrong with you guys???

teachers, leave us kids alone

Those of us who have worked in the real word before and after college and before going to medical school know how good people have it in college. If I had a choice between going back to college and not having to pay all of my bills that I have to pay now, I would go back to college (BUT no way in hell wold I live in a dorm again).

Amen to that. School beats work any day.

Yea, it's gonna suck that I can't disc golf for several hours a day like I've been doing for the past two weeks, but I'm looking forward to the semester starting. I'm really looking forward to biochemistry (it sounds sad, I know). 😀

Like most things, I just go with the flow. I enjoy summer, I enjoy the school year, I enjoy most of whatever I'm doing. So excited? Nah. Dreading? Nah. It'll come and it'll pass and I'll be content regardless.

I have had the most amazing summer of my life. I loved my job working at a summer camp, I loved my time back at home since camp ended, and I'm sure I'm going to love the short vacation I'm taking with my family before school starts... It's been a great summer, and I'm not excited about it ending. I always get so super stressed out at school, and I feel like this semester is only going to be worse than usual with interviews added into the mix.

:\

Not excited... I took 2 bio classes this fall and it ended just last week on thursday. My school starts next week. One week break is not enough! 😛
