Hey,
At our Christmas party, we had a charity auction, and I remember that one of the prizes was a stethoscope. It was an expensive model, worth about ?300. Now, I have friends and family in the medical profession, and they have stethoscopes lying around the house all the time. So I was wondering, what's so special about these specific devices that justifies this huge price? Do they diagnose illnesses as well as detect symptoms? Or provide a course of treatment, etc? 😀
Anyway, just something that was bugging me.
Thanks
Paddy
