I was wondering if a student (an ex nurse or somehing else) would find MS 2 and 3 easy.....or is it just a rumor?
Thanks
Nev

hell no..

Nurses are trained to be on the floor and deal with practical clinical issues, often carrying out medical orders instead of actually composing them.

They may handle micro/pharm a little better but when it comes to gross anatomy or pathology, there's just so much new info that it doesn't matter where you're from or what you did, it's all the same for everyone.

The nurses in my class have ZERO advantage in school after the first few months once we all learn some basic terminology.

For what its worth, I feel as a PharmD (eventhough I never practiced full time) that I had less of a learning curve than my classmates w/o such a background my first 2 years and even more so as I began rotations. The whole last year of pharm school one is in a clinical environment so we get a good introduction on how to present patients and manage their care in a team oriented fashion.
