I am curious how schools view expired credits (in my case I took physics and chem 6+ years ago and did bad, and then I did substantially better this past year when I retook)? I know some schools have a 3/5/7 year expuration date of BCP credits, and Imbspecifically wondering how this fits into overall GPA? I get that if you got a D in a class last year, then retook and got an A that it would be averaged out on tue AADSAS but what if you took the initial class 6+ years ago?

I've never heard of credits expiring, I have courses I took in 2001 that are still very much alive and on my old AADSAS application. Assuming these courses are still going to show up on your transcript, then schools will see that you re-took them and did better, that you started taking it seriously, and that you're capable of doing well in your sciences (insert any number of conclusions).

Again, never heard of classes/credits expiring, so I'm going to assume both old and retakes will appear on your transcripts. AADSAS will take both grades old and new and apply them as separate classes when calculating your GPAs, one doesn't cover up the other.

Here's ADEA policy reference: http://www.adea.org/dental_educatio...tructions/Documents/2011 GPA Calculations.pdf

All courses with credit hours and an ADEA AADSAS Grade are calculated into ADEA AADSAS GPAs, regardless of whether the credit counts toward a degree or has been counted toward a college/university GPA.

ADEA AADSAS includes ALL initial AND repeated coursework in its GPA calculations.

Grades and credit hours for all FAILED courses will be included in the ADEA AADSAS GPA, even if they are not included in the GPA calculations of the transcript-issuing institution.

Ahhh this is mad frustrating! My sGPA difference between then and now is literally a 1.3 GPA jump. My BCP is a .9 GPA jump. Now what?! Someone else must have faced this...any advice?
