The thing I hate the most about the Khan Academy questions is there is no explanation...and even if you thought you knew the answer/know the background, sometimes it is still difficult to figure out why it is incorrect.

This question came up:
How would the hyperglobalist perspective describe the impact of globalization?
Please choose from one of the following options.
  • The process that drives globalization is legitimate.
  • Globalization drives down the cost of goods, raises the standard of living globally, and increases production efficiency.
  • The influence of globalization is unknown and cannot be adequately described with known data.
  • Globalization causes social unrest, job loss, and the unethical treatment of laborers.
The answer is A.
I thought that hyperglobalists were people who felt that globalization was the "end of times/end of nation-state" and were strongly against it...so wouldn't the answer be D?

Thanks!
