Hello all,
I was wondering whether extensive shadowing of a subspecialty surgeon (CT) would be frowned upon considering my other shadowing hours are low relatively speaking. I have an interest in the field and one of the surgeons has graciously allowed for me to come whenever I have time!

We care that you know what most physicians do on a day to day basis.
About 40 hours of primary care shadowing is enough.

Anything else is less likely to improve your application. You are free to take advantage of anything you have available to you, but it is unlikely to convince anyone that you have a better idea of what you are getting into...
