Is there a way to update your volunteering/shadowing hours after you have submitted your application? I just wanted to show dental schools that I didn't just stop shadowing or volunteering in a dental clinic once I applied. I have a lot of extracurriculars unrelated to dentistry and I just wanted to utilize this summer to shadow and volunteer more.

No. If you're lucky, some secondaries may ask how you're spending your time now, but of the several I did, only 2 asked that.

no, unfortunately you can't. you can either approximate how many hours more you plan to spend and put it down, or you can update the school during the app cycle. they'll just add the note to your file. good luck
