Is there any way to gauge the quality of your extracurriculars from a school's perspective (i.e. if you haven't done anything obviously unbelievably outstanding)?
 
1. Does this person know what medicine is really like?
2. Is this person altruistic?
3. Does this person understand how "science" is really made?
