Faculty in Why Us essay advice

When writing my why us essays, I am including faculty I am interested in working with. I don't see examples of this in essays from straight MD applicants, but assuming there is no where else in the application for me to discuss faculty, is this appropriate?

I explicitly mentioned several faculty I am interested in working with in many of my why us essays. However, a number of schools will include a question in their secondary that explicitly asks for the names of faculty you are interested in.
