Hey i am wondering if anyone got FAER MSARF? if so how did you manage to get in, what tips and tricks do you have that you are willing to share? also do you know how competitive it is for DOs? Is there an anti-DO bias?

Is this the anesthesia research thing ?

This is a summer fellowship for those interested in Anesthesia. The schools which sponsor it may change from year to year. It looks like you apply in December of your 1st or second year of med school and find out in spring if you are accepted for that summer.
You are expected to work a solid 40 hours a week for 8 weeks in this summer program

A quick google search yield:

"The number of Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) students among the 2025 FAER MSARF fellows is zero, based on the available list of recipients which only lists MD or MD/PhD students from traditional medical schools."

It is extremely competitive.

i couldnt find the source for this quote

I believe there was one DO student from Touro AZ (host program Utah) out of 74 students in the 2025 FAER MSARF. It looks very competitive b/c of the research at top programs, networking/connections, and pay.
