FAFSA, Housing Question, Searched but Cannot Find Answer

I'm filling out the FAFSA application for this year and am on the section where you add the institutions and select the housing options.

I searched through 10 pages of results on SDN and could not find any answer to my question. I've also searched google and haven't found any conclusive answers. so hopefully someone can help me out here.

1) When you add an institution, you must choose your housing option or you cannot continue. These options are:
a) on -campus
b) off-campus
c) with parent

If I am not sure between the first two options, what do I put? I have not been accepted yet and am still going through the interviewing process, so I really don't know much about housing except for the schools I have interviewed at or will be interviewing at.

And is there a website that can tell me all of the schools that offer their medical students on=campus housing? I mean, I'm sure that not ALL medical schools offer housing to students.

Hey, man. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I'd be really, really surprised if any site compiles housing options for their med students. My thinking is that you could either A) Use off-campus for every option, just as a consistency thing, or B) Check out your top 5 schools and make an educated guess on those. Then just put off-campus for the rest.

yah. that is what i was afraid of. i'm just going to each school's website right now and searching through their housing options. what a pain lol. thanks for the help!

I haven't taken a look at the actual form yet, but can't you temporarily put something down and change it later? I've read that this is what you should do for your income tax return info (estimate it now and put down the real amount when you actually know).

not sure. you have to submit it, and in my shoes, i cant wait to hear back because it might be a little while with my late interviews. i'm not sure if you can go back and change them, but that sounds like it would be a good idea if it is possible.
