I just found out I failed my CS. I applied to a quite competitive field and it does not require step 2 scores to rank.

Suppose I retake and pass it before I start the intern year. However, I have one concern about its effect on my future residency.

If I match on 03/21, will the program find out my failed CS by any way? Will I be kicked out from the program due to this?

OR should I disclose it to my interviewed programs right now? Very likely I can not match this year.

Many thanks for your input!

If they don't ask you for it, you do not need to disclose it.

Once you match, it's binding. They can't decide to not take you because of the failed CS.

However, it's critical that you pass CS and graduate from medical school on time. If you can't start by July 1, then they can ask for a match waiver.

So: Don't disclose it, sign up for it again ASAP, take some sort of review course or practice to ensure you don't fail again, get it done before it's too late.

It is extremely helpful. I genuinely appreciate.

Hey I just took cs. Hate to hear that you failed. Did you feel like that afterwards? Did you feel good afterwards? Any idea what went wrong? Thanks and good luck

Keep calling. sometimes spaces for CS open up earlier. At least this way you can relax a little.
