"What is your training?"

"I've shadowed many doctors."

LMAO at this kid. Why did he think doing an interview was a good idea?

That logic is astounding.

"So, what qualifies you to be a nuclear engineer?"

"I've watched other people do it on youtube."

Guarantee this kid comes on this website and posts in 4 years.

"Guys I have a record for pretending to be a doctor. Will this prevent me from becoming a real one?"
I want to be here for that! Hopefully someone remembers to dig up this thread and post no replies except for the link to this thread :)

Come on, guys!! give him a chance! his medical degree was top secret because he was a doctor for some crazy, undercover black-ops for the US government! In fact, the CIA/NSA sealed his academic records due to the nature of its secrecy!!! *sarcasm*

Apparently... he was impersonating an OB/GYN....

"I am not a gynecologist, but I still would like to take a look..." :p

My go-to trivia team name is "I'm not a proctologist, but I'll take a look." I should get this genius kid in on it.

actually, this statement DOES qualify for what every man has done since he built caves - porn (early cave paintings show crude versions of porn drawings by our ancestors). if you watch people have sex, either in pictures like the kama sutra book for sex positions or videos which obviously show the acts, you actually are participating in training.

I saw this in the news the other day. crazy stuff. This kid clearly has some mental health issues. My question is how was he able to open the medical office in the first place?

Shadowing is about to become a lost opportunity.

It's close.

Do you know how many physicians I have asked, only to be told "I don't do that" or "Do you know how much paperwork is involved"? (The greatest percentage never even respond.)

Within another decade or 2, the only premeds who have ANY shadowing will be those who are born into families of physicians.

This is why we no longer view it as the only way to validate an understanding of the field. It's another SES based experience. Physician LOR's are equally SES influenced and thus rightfully de-emphasized.

He also compares himself to Jesus, who apparently started doing whatever Jesus did at the age of 12...... So 18 isn't that you, right?

WA had lawsuits on shadowing happen and now it's nearly impossible to shadow here at all. Most people do research BC it's a good way to get into contact with physicians in college, who then know and trust you enough to let you into an exam room with them.

My friend's mom is an ultrasound tech. She told the hospital that I was her son so they would let me shadow......didn't find out until the surgeon started talking about how great my "mom" is, hahah

The first thing I thought when I saw this story and all the pictures of him folding his arms with the steth around his neck was, does he even know what S1/S2 even are?!? Given all the other things I could be thinking about this fraudster, thats the only thing that was bothering me and the only thing I would like to ask him. That would surely be a hilarious answer...

If he actually went (or goes) to college, I bet he will be that kid who wears a lab coat, scrubs and a stethoscope everyday to school. I bet he will carry one of these bad boys too:

EDIT: I can just see him setting up a booth at the 'join a club' fair that schools have in the beginning of the year. "Come get your free check ups... ladies...:naughty:"

I don't even like wearing my lab coat to clinics, let alone to class!!!! Who wants to wear a coat in 80 degree whether anyway?! Plus, I feel like those people who wear their lab coats to class (when not mandatory) are just vying for attention from non-students... Just my take on it. Either that or they need self-affirmation daily that they are in fact "training" to become a doctor.

I cannot wait to see his house of lies burn down. Watching him justify his lies with his fake and mysterious credentials while being completely evasive in his answers made my skin literally cringe.

I can't wait to see this in the end.

I agree, I was more upset at his blatant disrespect for the medical profession. 99% of the people on this forum sacrificed their lives (and in my case my entire 20's) to earn their MD/DO/DDS/PsyD/PharmD or whatever legit med certification! :/

Did you hear in the interview that he stole checks (and cashed them!!!) from an elderly patient??
Shame on any ADCOM who even thinks of opening his application folder... It would go in the shredder, not the trash if it were me.

This guy is a snake charmer lol. His interviews sound a lot like what Pablo Escobar's old interviews sounded like haha.

"You have a lot of sites that say you are a doctor..."

"They do not say I am a medical doctor, not that I know of."

....

"You don't have any problem with making your fortune doing something illegal? Trafficking cocaine?"

"Cocaine is something that is illegal today because of some accidents of history"

Thats because he probably has an honorary doctorate from his church or something... The pastor can likely give those out to whom he feels fit to have a convo about the bible. Im guessing he got one from his grandfather who happens to also be the pastor. Thats sort of my take on it. Aside from that, he seriously tanked the **** out of his future chances of being an ACTUAL doctor. Googling this little ****s name will certainly yield an interesting read for an admissions committee at any legit grad school haha!

Maybe law school will let him in, after all, he's getting plenty of experience with the law now...

He's still got a shot, if he follows theses steps:
1. Change name.
2. Go Caribbean.
3. Open alternative medicine clinic.

What's disconcerting is that he couldn't do it all alone -- surely he had family help to secure the office space, etc. ... not to the mention the two women in the photo with him. Whoever helped him surely has a few loose screws as well.

He received an $10,000 investment from a man who looked like a relative. It was later shown in an interview.

If he hires a competent lawyer (unlikely as that would cost too much money) unlike Aaron Hernandez's defense team, he should be able to get off. It is NOT illegal to call yourself a doctor as long as you do not use initials such as MD or DO. Florida state also has no law against (or for) becoming a doctor of natural medicine. It's like me calling myself a doctor of witchcraft or comedy. Such a thing is not licensed in NY. The prosecution will likely look for actual violations of law such as what someone said here about this shyster (a Brooklyn slang term we use here btw) stealing checks from old ladies.

Well they arrested him because he did a medical exam on an undercover agent. In another interview, the kid was saying he got around those laws by "consulting" as an alternative medicine practitioner and giving his opinion to the MDs that he hires to do the medical exams (not sure if he really did hire MDs). Which I guess makes it technically. I think him doing a medical exam and giving medical advice to the undercover officer was their basis for arresting him because that IS against the law.

Yes. That is the reason he was arrested. I second your motion.

Check out the Facebook quotes. The links are all out now, so take this with a grain of salt! The kid doesn't know how to structure sentences and even misspells words like 'proffessional'.

Edit: he's also supposedly battling cancer lol. There is definitely something wrong with this kid. It's gone from amusing to concerning.

These "web-of-lies" type stories only ever get more complicated not simpler lol. Eventually though it all comes crashing down
