What's your favorite topic in Biology?

I like Developmental stuff. Can't stand Biochem though.

Molecular and genetics ... I don't like all of the ecology/evolution/animal behavior stuff.

Vertebrate Physiology and first semester Biochemistry. Especially the heart, the nervous system, and metabolism.

I learned a lot during second semester biochemistry, but it was mostly nucleic acid chemistry and I got tired of it.

I loved Neuroscience...thought it was kind of cool. I also enjoyed Immunology (and an AIDS class I took)...but believe it or not Ecology was pretty cool 😛

hands down: first semester biochem. biochem II was all over the place where i took it.
cell bio was also really cool.
i like proteins 🙂

Molecular Genetics. I'm not talking about pedigrees and punnett squares, but gene expressions, transcription factors, operons ...

Fun stuff.

And immunology/virology. That's cool too.

Biochemistry and Microbiology related things

I think Micro is fascinating because instead of just learning about the body you are learning about that which causes disease and thus it is more medically related.

I like biochem because it explains the concepts you learn in cell bio about things like glycolysis and TCA or like Oxidative phosphorylation in much more detail and a way that makes everything come together.

Cell bio so far, but I'm taking biochem right now and really enjoying it. The concept of molecular self-assembly boggles my mind.

Human Physiology and Histology are great classes. I was fortunate enough to do a study group 2 semesters in a row for Human Phys after I took it so I got to sit in on it all over again! I'll probably end up doing it again next Spring too! I'm taking Histo right now and I'm loving it as well!

Human anatomy/physiology (especially the cardiovascular system) and neuroscience.

Molecular and immuno. I'm thinking about taking bacterial pathology or virology next semester.

biochem, it encompasses most all medicine in one way or another. fun stuff.
