Not even sure what else to do at this point besides just reviewing NBMEs and protecting sleep tbhSo is anyone else taking this test? What’s everyone doing this last week?
Lots of NBME review I quit Anki a couple of weeks ago. Just hoping that quitting anki won't bite me in the a**.So is anyone else taking this test? What’s everyone doing this last week?
There's a delay anki cards add-on that allows you to postpone all your reviews x amount of days. So if you take a 7 day break it moves all of your unsuspended card due dates back 7 days (including the ones that aren't due on any of those days you are pushing it back). Hope that makes sense lol. Heres the link.I’m debating quitting anki this last week so I can do 2 or 3 more nbmes. I just worry that’ll backfire if I don’t do well and end up with 2 weeks of reviews I have to get through somehow.
No way!!! This is huge man! Thank you so much! There's a delay anki cards add-on that allows you to postpone all your reviews x amount of days. I think it was fair, more on the difficult side. There were too many questions where I narrowed it down and guessed from there. I wasn’t expecting that many risk factors and ethical questions thoHow’d everyone feel?
Yeah there were way more risk factor questions than I expectedI think it was fair, more on the difficult side. There were too many questions where I narrowed it down and guessed from there. I wasn’t expecting that many risk factors and ethical questions tho
I thought it would be saturday, what score do you guys think is your cutoff for a retake
Yea but you had to buy the extra premium limited time access copy of first aid to know that one 🤣So is British Sign Language that much different than American Sign Language?
How would they know if you remembered all the CYP enzymes and what they correspond to then?!?!Wish they changed CBSE to P/F, just like Step -1.
This question was hella annoying 🤣So is British Sign Language that much different than American Sign Language?

Retaking anything below an 85 is ridiculous lol. People get in with low 60sI had to waste my valentines getting wanded at prometric I’m retaking anything below an 85
The only reason we use the CBSE is because dental boards went P/F. The whole point is having a graded standardized test to compare applicants.Wish they changed CBSE to P/F, just like Step -1.
They did ask about Bosentan though right 🤣Didn't feel like the questions reflected the style of questions or content on NBMEs. If you're gonna ask us about bosentan MOA on 5/8 of your last practice exams then don't expect us to recite CYP450 enzymes on game day. Extreme example but the idea still holds
I wish man lol. Maybe we got some different Q'sThey did ask about Bosentan though right 🤣
Ur thinking buspironeThey did ask about Bosentan though right 🤣
Yea I think it was buspironeIs it just me or there was not a bosentan question right?
July test results came out Friday morning ~10.Scores usually come the week after on friday right?
You shouldn't retake anything over a 70.I had to waste my valentines getting wanded at prometric I’m retaking anything below an 85
Suit yourself, fam. I’d just argue having a score that starts with a “7” will open more doors. Mid-to-high 60s isn’t bad though. You’ll get in somewhere.70?? We ain’t retaking anything over 65 lmaoooo
Wouldn’t this depend on your rank? If your class rank is really good maybe you can squeeze by with mid 60s, bad ranks might need 75+ right?Suit yourself, fam. I’d just argue having a score that starts with a “7” will open more doors. Mid-to-high 60s isn’t bad though. You’ll get in somewhere.
Not necessarily. CBSE has always been king, especially for 6-year programs. I think you have a better chance of matching with a high CBSE + average class rank than you do with an average CBSE + high class rank. That's not to say you can't get by with a score in the mid 60s. I just don't think it's crazy to retake a 65 to maximize your chances.Wouldn’t this depend on your rank? I mean I get what you’re saying. I just don’t understand what’s changed since the old scoring system from just a few years ago. I feel like an old 70 was what people were shooting for to be considered competitive, which is a 63 EPC these days. Now all I read is that it’s still a 70, but a 70 EPC to be competitive, which was a 75 back then. Idk, I guess scores have gone up but who knows. Not necessarily. If I'm not mistaken, I remember 75 being the new benchmark right before the scoring system changed. But yeah, averages have gone up for sure. I had one of the attendings at my dental school recommend I retake the CBSE after scoring in the low 70s EPC lmao. I decided against it but I noticed the vast majority of the applicants I interviewed with scored in the 70s, many even in the 80s. It's insane, man.I mean I get what you’re saying. It was also inflated because of Covid which is right around when the new scoring system came outIf I'm not mistaken, I remember 75 being the new benchmark right before the scoring system changed.
