hi everyone
does ACCOM have the fee assistant program to help students pay for some of the application fee ? If so, how do I apply for it and can you post the link for that site for me? thanks so much for all your help

Just a heads up... Last year I read posts by people who used the "Fee Assistant Program", and there applications were delayed in processing.

If you can find a way to pay for your applications, then I would do so. The extra few weeks/months for processing you application may lead to doom. Time=acceptance

- :luck:

I applied for one and it went through quickly. The key is to get it in early (like March or April) and then follow up with them in a couple of weeks. The bad thing is that you only have a month to use it once you get it, so be prepared.

so, how do i apply for it?? thanks 🙂

Yes, I applied for AACOMAS's waiver the first of this month which I was fearing was too late. I'm confident I'd get it (I got AMCAS's for the MCAT last year)...But will not hold up my app for it as I'm not applying to THAT many DO schools to really warrant it...Thus, if I apply before hearing back it will just be voided and I'll be on my way, right? This is what the general instructions seem to say.

To the OP...on the aacomas page it tells you what you need to do...Tax forms, SASE, signed copy of SAR to the address I believe is all that it is. But do double check, it's easy to find.

The cool thing about AACOMAS is that they don't discriminate against non traditional students. They go off of your FAFSA SAR. AMCAS on the other hand requires everyone to provide parental financial information whether you can get it or not, and whether it is relevant or not. Scumbags. 😡 I am in the process of filing a civil rights complaint against them for this.
