How detailed would the DAT want us to get with Feralis notes. I hear it has helped so many, but is something like this important: "For cellular respiration in glycolysis, the PFK (enzyme) adds 2nd phosphate, makes fructose 1,6-biphosphate – this is irreversible and commits to glycolysis, major regulatory point!"

If so, then I really need to cry because I never remembered learning this much detail in biology. I literally wasted a whole month studying Cliffs biology and not checking these notes out. WHY??!!!!!!!!!

studying cliffs is not a waste...essentially memorizing cliffs will most likely get u a 20 at least on the bio dat. If you want to score exceptionally high in bio u should know feralis and destroyer mighty well. Although, knowing that much detail is pushing it, u never know what could show up.

Wait your bio classes weren't MORE specific?
shoot... my bio professor gave us a blank piece of paper with arrows and said give me the krebs cycle. I'm not even joking. Feralis is not detailed compared to a bio class. It is detailed for the DAT. It is actually missing stuff that is important to actually understanding the material IMO. But it's someone elses notes so obviously its not going to explain to you how it works, just the bullet points.
Cliffs is enough for a 20

So you can be the stupidest person on earth but as long as you memorize everything you would be able to fill in all the arrows correctly. Sorta like the DAT where they just present a ton of info that you had to memorize in order to get questions right. Biology on DAT = memorization with a bit of understanding the concepts. Orgo and chem I'd say is more understanding the relationships between reactants, knowing what happens in a system, etc. The more you memorize the better.

So I guess I really need to study Feralis cuz a 20 in bio will not help my score that much. Is there anyone else out there who never used Feralis and studied Cliffs and got above 20-21ish in bio.

haha yeah for that part of the exam! But if you didn't understand anything you'd be screwed on the application questions/inquiry questions

That's how they get the people who are legit smart, not just book smart. If grades were the only determining factor in going into any field of life I could imagine all my doctors being the most annoying, dumbest, most ridiculous people on the face of this earth.

Hey. Sorry, but it is true. Lots of random and specific biological facts are on the test. Also, you will be tested on how well you understand the concepts. So, be patient ad learn the material using Feralis, Cliffs. Then check your knowlede with questions from Destroyer, CrackDAT or Kaplan.
