pleurodont :Applied to the condition in which the teeth are attached by one side to the inner surface of the bones of the jaw.

acrodont :Applied to the condition in which the teeth are fused to the bones.


thecodont: Applied to the condition in which the teeth are set in sockets in the bones.

pls help me wit these questions..
1.movement of working side condyle in lateral excursion..
a.rotation around saggital axis
b.rotation on horizontal axis
c.rotation and translation both...
i feel its only rotation on saggital axis..but answer is diff..its both rot and translation...

2.during lateral excursion, mb cusp of mx 1st molar moves across..what of lower 1st molar...
a.lingual groove
b.central groove.
c.facial grooove.
i feel its central groove, but ans is lingual groove...


dentin islands are seen in canine..

1. If there is Bennett movement, then the best answer would be C. The working condyle will rotate around the horizontal axis due to canine guidance, and if there is Bennett movement there will also be translation.

2. the answer is facial groove. The MB cusp cant go through any other groove. The ML cusp of the MAX 1st molar goes through the central groove on protrusion and the lingual groove on working lateral excursion. Maybe you meant the question the state ML cusp rather than MB.
