Figuring Out How Much This Is Going to Cost

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm sorry, this family is full! I guess we may have an opening for pet, but it dosn't pay well, and you have to eat cat food (weight control cat food😛).

Can I reapply next cycle? I could work on my EC's, get a few more recommendation letters and maybe retake the mcat, in order to make myself a more competitive candidate?

Friskies or Fancy Feast?

No one (cat, human or other) is going to lose any weight eating such a decadent, succulent food as Fancy Feast! That being said, if you are looking for pure deliciousness, FF is the way to go 👍

Yeah, I hear that the adcom likes feline greenies. Right now our fatsos are on a purina veterinary diabetic diet. I think they would lose weight better if we just got a dog.

DOGS AND CATS LIVING TOGETHER, MASS HYSTERIA!!!! (name that movie)

You see all of this number crunching is killing me...My head hurts oh so much now.

The way I see it, for me I will hopefully pull the HPSP for the Navy or Army get a 20k signing bonus (use that as the down payment for a small place) and have them pay me between 2k and 2.5k a month. Plus pay all of my tuition and books. Then take out another 10-20k a year for living expenses for family care and all (Diapers cost a small fortune, every time I change my sons diaper I tell him there goes another university credit) hehehe

With my student loans from undergrad and grad I will owe a total of about 120k.

While in the active mil, make about 120k a year. Then live on 50k for five years and be totally debt free when my active duty mil time is up.

Now, having said all of that, and I don't get the HPSP...I AM GONNA BE SCRE..D! So how do I not worry about this stuff and be able to sleep at night you might ask?
Well, first things first, MCAT, school work, med school acceptance. Once I get that acceptance. Then there will be new worries to think about. Like how to pay for it. I am just concerned about paying for the application process and the trips to these schools for interviews. How can anyone handle more than a handful of schools?

PS its Ghostbusters!
