There are so many variables involved in getting accepted. GPA, MCAT, E.C.'s, volunteering, letters of recommendations... and everybody thinks some part is more important than another.
Obviously the MCAT really counts. How are you guys deciding what your target MCAT is? I mean, its easy to say you want a 30, or 36, or whatever. But are you just arbitrarily picking a number?
I know when I look on www.medschoolstats.com I see the accepted average MCAT for all the schools. That gives me a clue, where I might want to go and what their averages are.
Any other ideas?
